On November 14, we hosted our 2020 Medical Student and Resident Conference – entirely virtual for the first time ever.
A huge thank you to the 100+ students and residents who joined us to hear from our family physicians about their experiences of family medicine. Attendees got a taste of what it’s like to work in a variety of practice settings and received advice on how to prepare to enter a career in family medicine.
Thank you to our speakers: Dr. Terri Aldred, Dr. Saima Ali, Dr. Ana Boskovic, Dr. James Card. Dr. Natalie Chan, Dr. Preveena Dharmaraj, Dr. Joshua Greggain, Dr. Justine Spencer and Dr. Sarah Tranquilli-Doherty.
Thank you to our student moderators for their essential role in helping to run the event on the day, introducing speakers and handling audience questions: Celine Edwards, Erin Flanagan, Salina Kung and Shikha Walia.
Thank you to President Dr. Marjorie Docherty for welcoming participants to the day.
Finally, thank you to the Family Medicine Interest Group: Celine Hounjet, Jason Li, Lisa Szostek, and Nora Tong.
Presentations and recordings from the event will be published in our online Learning Vault shortly.
