We are pleased to announce the release of Focus on: Opioids, a special issue of the Self LearningTM Program available free online for all CFPC members at the Self Learning website.

The Self Learning Committee has created this special issue as an educational resource for the latest medical evidence related to opioids and pain management. We hope it serves to update you on the latest medical evidence while introducing you to all that the Self Learning Program has to offer.

Self Learning is an innovative educational program from the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC). It offers subscribers the opportunity to learn any time, anywhere, with a focus on information that is timely and relevant to family medicine. Each issue contains clinical questions based on recent articles from a wide variety of peer-reviewed journals. The questions are developed by more than 50 family physician volunteers. This issue contains new questions created specifically for this issue, as well as questions drawn from recent issues of Self Learning.

To access the issue, log in to the Self Learning website using your email address and CFPC password. (If you are new to Self Learning, you may be prompted to register for an account- if so, open the included instructions). Once signed in, the first page you will see is the Self Learning Dashboard. The special issue is available in the Subscription Issues section of the Dashboard, in interactive online and PDF formats.

CFPC members can earn five certified Mainpro+® credits for this issue by completing a Linking Learning to Assessment exercise. Click here for more details.

If you have any questions, please contact the Self Learning staff at 1-800-387-6197 ext. 441 or slinfo@cfpc.ca.
