REPORT CARD ON HEALTH CARE IN BC
With the provincial election less than a month away, the BCCFP is working with the CFPC to create a provincial report card designed to inform both members and voters by evaluating the BC government’s leadership around five key indicators in health care. The report card will also rate how each major party plans to address these indicators in their election platforms.
FIRST FIVE YEARS WEBINARS
If you are a family physician in your first five years of practice, look for a new series of BCCFP webinars. Set for June, the first will cover “The things that nobody told me before I graduated from residency.” We will send members more information when the date is confirmed.
NOMINATIONS OPEN FOR TWO NEW AWARDS
Nominations for two brand new BCCFP awards are due on May 8. The First Five Years of Practice Award will recognize an exceptional family physician in the early stage of his or her career. In addition, we have added a new Innovations in Primary Care Award that will recognize a BCCFP member who is working on local innovations in practice or health care delivery that improve patient, family or community care.
