Congratulations to Drs. Stefan Grzybowski and Michael Klein recently named two of the Top 20 Pioneers of Family Medicine Research in Canada by the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC) for their contributions to advancing health care in Canada and around the world.

The honour is part of the CFPC celebration of the 20th anniversary of its Section of Researchers.

Dr. Grzybowski, the co-director for the Centre for Rural Health Research at UBC, is recognized for his work on the delivery of health services to people living in rural and remote communities. Dr. Klein, a UBC professor emeritus and the director of the Clinical Scholar Program, receives this honour for his research in childbirth and maternal health, and specifically his work on routine episiotomies.
