We’re excited to once again have a booth at UBC’s MedZero event on August 23, 2023!
Run by UBC, MedZero is an opportunity to introduce and expose incoming UBC medical students to the specialty of Family Medicine, including its diversity in practice and lifestyle.
Taking place in the Life Sciences Centre on the UBC Point Grey Campus, the event will run from 4.30-7pm and will include:
- a small panel of speakers, including an introduction from Elder Roberta Price, followed by three family physicians to discuss their practices and career paths;
- interactive workshops and demonstrations, specifically in intra-muscular injection, point-of-care ultrasound, and dermoscopy and
- unstructured time for students to explore, network, and visit booths.
We’re looking forward to connecting with med students to discuss the role of BCCFP and how we can support them!
