Join a BCCFP Resiliency Education and Learning (REAL) Group this fall and take advantage of a unique small group learning experience that enables you to target timely and relevant topics with like-minded family physicians. It’s free with your membership, fully-supported by BCCFP, and eligible for Mainpro+ credits.

If you are interested, please register by Wednesday, September 20, as groups will begin meeting in October.

How it works We will match you with a group of six to 12 like-minded family physicians in your community, and you will have the opportunity to meet every four to six weeks. The groups are member-driven, with participants bringing forward discussion topics that are directly relevant to their practice.   The BCCFP assists groups throughout the learning process by: scheduling meetings; providing access to resources;  and delivering facilitator training. In addition, there are discussion guides and other resources in the BCCFP Learning Vault to support your REAL Group.

How to get started

  1. Register by September 20, 2017. We will introduce you to your group by email and help you to schedule your first meeting for October.
  2. If you already have a group that you would like to work with, let us know and we will help you to get started as a REAL Group so that you can take advantage of the support resources available.

Choose a facilitator. Your REAL Group facilitator will be invited to participate in a training session being delivered on October 27 in conjunction with the Family Medicine Conference. He or she will also get a free conference registration.
