BC’s second Family Doctor Day is set for May 19.
During the week of May 13, we will be recognizing and celebrating the work of more than 6,000 family physicians practising across the province.
As part of the celebration, we’ll be sharing stories about the role of family medicine and the importance of the patient-doctor relationship in the news media and on our social media channels.
We’ll also be announcing the recipients of this year’s BCCFP peer- and patient-nominated awards.
This year, all of Canada will be following our lead, setting aside the same day to honour the unique role of family doctors in the health care system.
