We were delighted to kick off the New Year by meeting with our province’s new Health Minister, the Honourable Josie Osborne, along with officials from the Ministry of Health. We had an engaging discussion about the state of family medicine in BC, including how we can work together to alleviate administrative burdens for our members and attract more family physicians to our urban, rural, and remote communities across the province.

2025 BCCFP Member Feedback
2024 was a year of action for BCCFP! Based on your feedback, we developed our 2025-28 Strategic Plan and got to work on your key priorities.
We advocated for the elimination of sick notes to help reduce admin burden, we launched our Speak Out For Family Medicine which garnered international media coverage, we met with each of the political parties and successfully kept family medicine a priority issue in the provincial election, and we created a member-led Advocacy Committee to drive strategic advocacy initiatives.
For a more detailed review of our work in 2024, take a look through our Annual Report.
As we begin the new year, we want to ensure we’re still on track and representing your needs. Please check your mailbox for the link to the feedback form, your input is deeply valued.
