Join us in Victoria on April 5 and 6 for a special Family Medicine Conference – Family Doctors: Standing Up and Standing Out.

We’ve partnered with the Society of General Practitioners of BC (SGP) to provide a unique two-day program focusing on the many roles of today’s family physician. You will gain valuable insight into leading change in family medicine, managing your practice, and looking after your own professional needs.

On the first day, we will hear from BC family physician organization leaders as well as those whose work has changed the lives of their patients and colleagues. The sessions focus on skills that all family physicians can use, including social media use, quality improvement in your office, billing, and burnout prevention.

The next day offers hot clinical topics that include: helping patients transition from opioid pain relief; treating concussion using the newest guidelines; diagnosing PTSD; providing advice on medical cannabis; sleep disorders; and introducing the topic of medical assistance in dying (MAiD).

For your convenience, we’ve also scheduled a Practising Wisely Workshop for the day after the conference, April 7.

Early bird registration and a special Marriott Hotel room rate will expire March 5 so register early!
