The BC College of Family Physicians is pleased to announce on behalf of the College of Family Physicians of Canada that Dr. Sarah Bartlett will be joining our team as the Regional Educator for BC.

Dr. Sarah Bartlett received her medical degree from Dalhousie University  in 2005.  She went on to residency training at Queen’s University, earning  her certification from the College of Family Physicians of Canada in 2007.  Dr. Bartlett has been practicing in Vancouver since certification, with a  brief period in Yellowknife.  After exploring a variety of clinical  opportunities Dr. Bartlett has settled into the field of older adult  mental health.

Dr Bartlett is looking forward to her role as the BC Regional Educator in order to pursue her passion for knowledge dissemination. Dr. Bartlett is  also a clinical instructor with the UBC Department of Family Practice,  regularly working with medical students.  She has co-facilitated patient workshops on cognitive behavioral therapy, and enjoys presenting as part  of her office’s continuing professional development series.

Dr. Bartlett may be reached at [email protected].

The BCCFP would also like to thank Dr. Jim Thorsteinson, who previously held this position, and wish him well in his retirement.
