Research shows that kids and adults who spend more time in nature are happier and healthier. Launched on November 30, the BC Parks Foundation PaRx program is Canada’s first national, evidence-based nature prescription program. Featuring practical resources like quick tips and patient handouts, its goal is to make prescribing time in nature simple, fun and effective.

As part of the launch, and out of gratitude to physicians, the BC Parks Foundation is partnering with the Association of Nature and Forest Therapy Guides to offer remote forest therapy sessions to BC family physicians in January 2021 so that you can get some stress relief and experience the benefits of nature yourself. Limited complimentary sessions are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Please e-mail the BC Parks Foundation at [email protected] for a registration access code.

Check out www.parkprescriptions.ca for more information on nature prescriptions and to register to become a prescriber.
