Nominations to our Board of Directors are now open and will be accepted until August 23, 2021 at 10:00 am. Eligible members received an email on July 19 containing instructions and a link to the online nomination portal.
We are seeking Board members who reflect the values, scope and diversity of family physicians in British Columbia. Joining the Board of Directors is a great opportunity to connect with members around the province, create new ways to support your colleagues, and celebrate and promote the profession.
We are seeking candidates who collectively have the following skills and experience: board and governance; cultural safety and humility and anti-racism; advocacy as it relates to the profession; and financial literacy. Committed to equity and anti-racism and in efforts to promote a diverse body of candidates, we are actively encouraging members from historically excluded groups to consider nomination.
There are six (6) Director positions up for election; five positions have terms of three years and one position have a term of two years. The candidates with the most votes will be offered first choice of length of term.
