Ahead of BC Family Doctor Day on May 19, we are excited to announce the recipients of this year’s BCCFP annual awards.
We received a record number of nominations again this year, with hundreds of patients and colleagues recognizing the outstanding work of family physicians in their community.
We heard stories of kindness, leadership, creativity, community engagement, unwavering support for patients and colleagues, and life-changing care delivered by family physicians.
As we continue to campaign to bring attention to the crisis in family medicine, one thing has become very clear. British Columbians value the work we do and want a health care system that provides more people with the choice to have an ongoing relationship with a family physician who knows them and takes care of them over time.
While we continue to talk publicly about the situation we face and urge government to revaluate their treatment of family doctors, it is important to take time to celebrate our collective work, and – despite the adverse conditions we are working under – the love we have for the privilege of practicing family medicine. Ahead of BC Family Doctor Day on May 19, we are excited to announce the recipients of this year’s BCCFP annual awards.
Congratulations to the recipients of the 2022 BCCFP awards!
