UBC Family Medicine Scholarship Day
Each year, family physicians are invited to join the R2 residents for this June event providing residents with an opportunity to showcase research projects and findings to fellow residents, faculty and guests.
Dinner with Docs
Each year, BCCFP holds four Dinner with Doc events in March. Located in the province’s UBC training sites – Vancouver, Victoria, Prince George and Kelowna – these events provide an opportunity for medical students to speak informally with practicing family physicians and ask questions about the profession.
Dinner with Docs is part of BCCFP’s work in promoting family medicine to the family physicians of the future. Medical students can sign up through their local UBC Family Medicine Interest Group (FMIG) representative.
Medical Student & Resident Conference
This annual one-day conference brings together hundreds of medical students and residents interested in learning what it’s like to work as a family physician as well as practice management skills. Held in the fall, the day includes panel discussions, various breakout sessions and focused practice presentations.
